Check your personal email account, and look for an email from WorkBee (this comes from notify@dayforce.com - check your spam/junk folders if you can't find it.)
Make a note of your username and company ID (this will be WorkBee, not your actual company name)
Click the button that says ACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT
You usually have 5 days to activate your account from when the email was received. If your link has expired, contact the HR Service Centre for further assistance.
To activate your account, you will first need to verify the last 4 digits of your phone number.
This is whatever number we have on file for you, and will likely be a personal phone number (and could be an old number if you changed your number and didn’t tell us previously). It doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to this phone number, you just need to know the last 4 digits of it.
Then click Continue
Once verified, you'll be asked to choose a password. Choose something a secure and memorabe. It will need to be at least 12 characters, with UPPER and lower case letters and a special character (!£$?). Put this password in both boxes, and click Continue
You're now verified! And you're ready to log in for the first time.
Option 1:
Go to dayforcehcm.com in your web browser of choice
We recommend bookmarking this page (Ctrl + D) to make it easy to find later.
Option 2:
Go to your phone's app store and download the Dayforce App.
After downloading the app, launch the app and then tap Log in
Then enter the company ID - this is Workbee and is not your actual company name - watch out for this. Then click Continue to username
Then enter your username from the email you received earlier. This is in the format firstname.lastname and may have a number at the end. Then click Continue to password
Note that you cannot use an email address for this step, you must use the username you have been given.
Then enter the password that you chose earlier, taking care to put the UPPER and lower case letters and special characters in the right places. Then click Log in
In addition to your password, WorkBee will sometimes require a verification code during log in, and you'll need to set this up during your first-time log in.
This can be:
A text or voice call to a mobile number that contains the code.
An email to an email address that contains the code.
A code from an authenticator app if you use one.
Choose the option that works best for you, and enter the code you are sent into the setup page. We recommend the SMS text option but email works just as well.
You’ll also be asked for some security questions during setup.
This is in case you lose access to your account, as we'll be able to get you back in by asking the answers to these questions.
Choose answers that are meaningful to you, and that nobody else can easily guess.
PLEASE DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP! If you skip this step, you may lose access to your account if you ever forget your username and/or password, so we highly recommend taking a moment to set this up here.
If you're a manager, you'll then be asked whether you want to switch to your Employee role, or your Manager role.
If you're managing your team, including scheduling, completing timesheets, logging absence, logging overtime, or completing employee change forms, choose the Manager role.
If you're completing personal tasks, such as checking your payslip or updating your own details, choose your Employee role.
If you're not a manager, you'll be taken straight into your WorkBee account.
Using the app?
You'll also be asked during your first-time login if you want to set up Biometric authentication - which allows you to log into the app using your fingerprint, or FaceID.
We highly recommend setting this up, as it is a very secure way of accessing the app, and can allow you to sign into the app very quickly.
If this is something you don't want to do right now, choose Maybe Later, or choose Do not ask again if you know you definitely don't want to use this feature.
